The Astronomy Club spends its time loafing about in school and receives a cease-and-desist letter that threatens to tear the club apart. In order to satisfy the student council and save the club, the members decide to take part in a glider-building flight contest centered around a recently-invented battery.

The protagonist and his friends are stopped and challenged by the "Aviation Club". With the sudden help from a teacher, our heroes learn the basics behind light motor gliders.
