standing medial split »

A medial split done while standing on one leg to perform a standing split and what determines if it's a right split or left split is the leg they've chosen to put in the air| The EASIEST way(which is NOT foolproof)to tell this from a standing lateral split is if the raised leg does NOT cover any of their frontal area but even easier(and closer TO being foolproof)is if the back of the raised leg is turned toward the right or left of the front of the gymnast-athlete's entire body and is mostly off to their side whether inside or outside their arms|
