fingerless gloves »

Gloves which have holes to allow the individual fingers be left bare.

Typically these gloves are designed so that all five fingers are exposed so that the glove provides warmth to the bulk of the hand, yet still allows maximum flexibility and movement to the individual fingers.

Alternatively, the reverse can also be true, where all fingers remained covered except for the index finger, which is exposed. This style is typical in gloves which are designed for use with handguns and rifles, giving the "trigger finger" more precise dexterity.
