Sankaku Channel/cross section

Traditionally cross sections look as if the object has been sliced, often down the middle, exposing the insides. This tag uses a more general definition. A cross section is a picture that shows what's going on inside something (or someone).

Cross sections commonly appear as small inset in the corner of a sex scene, and depict a close-up of what's going on with the characters' naughty bits; for example, the viewer might get a side view of the gentleman's wee-wee inside the lady's hoo-hah; see Post #1839209 for an example. Alternatively, cross sections may appear directly on the sectioned object, as in Post #1611960.

This tag is also used on other types of internal view that might not exactly be a traditional cross section. For example, if the viewer can see a wee-wee even though it's inside someone, but no other internal details are shown, it should still use the cross section tag. See Post #33861.

Often, x-ray is mistakenly used when cross section is more appropriate, or both tags are used because the difference isn't understood. Essentially, the x-ray tag is used when the viewer can see through things, like clothing or the wall of the girls' locker room. The cross section tag is used when the viewer can see inside things, like ladies or properly-carved melons.
