Once again, I use the multiplication layers to put the color here.
After applying color with/on the multiplication layer, I use a mask and then make gradients with the airbrush from the top down. Keep piling on the gradations until you feel satisfied.
At the end, use an over-layer to apply purple color. Try modifying the texture until you're content.
