Is this game online?

If you like shitty remakes with little to no improvements in quality/content, go check Steam for the "Rebirth" series.

The only one that really needs improvement is the second one. In it, on PC, the battles have a tendency to slow down/stutter. And, no, none of them, besides the newest one on the Vita, are "online"(as in online multiplayer).

The original three games never made PC, so you have to be talking about the Rebirth series, fiersome.

Well, only the second one was shitty. Really, they completely changed the plot from the first game, and continued the plot from the second in the third (sorta), but there is actually a missable trophy in both virsions of the second game, called the Conqueror's Ending. In it, you have to absolutely ignore all the events, passing on every single one (which is hard to do for someone like me, who hates seeing "new" markers), and complete the game with as low a lily score as you can. If you miss it, you have to start an entirely new file, then play the entire game again.

The Third game (the remake, at least, as I haven't played Victory on PS3, never had the money to buy it, nor a spot that it could be found) is a little better, but still annoying. If you miss the true ending the first play through, that's normal, as you need to view all six events, but the thing is, two of the events aren't available unless you unlock their dungeon using the post-game dungeons, which are also secret dungeons, but the plans are given to you. The issue with that is that it's impossible to know that, and if you just pick new game plus, you're going to go through the whole game again, and probably lose interest.

The First game, however, is the best out of all of them. That was the only game I've actually managed to platinum. It was fun as hell doing so, too. I haven't played it much on the PC because of that, but still. Shame it's so easy to hack in enough credits to get the credit achievement, though. I should know.

So, my ratings for the three, R;1 would be 9/10 (needs more content), R;2 - 5 or 6/10 (annoying issue of the missable achieve, along with the slowdowns on PC), R;3 - 7 or 8 (the feels are real in the bad end, but it's annoying that you need to unlock the remaining Event dungeons using Normal End mats. Iris heart and Yellow heart are bonus, even if Yellow heart is, well I'll not spoil it).

That good enough for you, Vitali? The Vita versions are better than PC, in terms of performance.

(Sorry if that was a bit much, my ADHD meds have probably worn off by now, hence the rambling... And I'm rambling again... Dammit.)

...My point is that the Remake--I mean Rebirth series is objectively shittier than the originals on the PS3.

Drops in performance all around, introduction of pointless and shitty sub-qualifications for all of the endings, addition of even MOAR DLC to fuck over your wallet and core storyline/voice acting changes that are plain cringe-worthy for even the least active observer.
Victory's where NIS and Gust got off the boat, and having experienced the games afterwards, I am sorry I didn't jump with them, but I am damned well off the boat now.
