There was so many mixed emotions inside of me as I watched this..

Yet I enjoyed it all.

Lon Fukkireta. Huh. Wasn't expecting that.

Well then

So much no-clipping... Nearly looks like it was done in Gmod.

The more I listen to this, the more I want to know what the lyrics are. Pretty sure there's some random English in there, but I want to know what she's singing.

I also really want to see a live-action version of this, but I'm not sure it's anatomically possible (no-clipping aside).

Don't you mean "too much clipping?"

I think "no-clip" isn't an industry term so much as just a console command specific to Valve's games that removes the player's collision box and changes the movement system to allow the player to fly. Outside of Valve's games there isn't a use for it, and it doesn't mean anything. There are industry wide terms, but no-clip isn't one of them I think.

What is happening here doesn't even involve the collision boxes used in FPS games, which fit over the characters to control how they interact in relation to the environment and stop them from walking through walls. What is happening here IS clipping, though, which is when character animations make the geometry pass through itself. All this indicates is that ether the character model doesn't have bones that have been set up to work for ragdoll physics, or they've been temporarily disabled for this animation. (I still need to dig more into the exact logistics of animation, collision, and character rigging though. One step at a time!)

Valve didn't invent or popularize "noclip"

Jakuryusei

Huh. Well I still think clipping in animation terms is different from no clip, right?

noclip or idclip refer specifically to the cheat used to remove player clipping.

Aha~! I figured it out! Clipping is actually refers to calculations that are performed on 3d models to optimize performance, and is associated with techniques for collision detection because of the similarity in the operations.

I found this to explain it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clipping_(computer_graphics)

The final paragraph is especially pertinent. "For historical reasons, some video games used collision detection optimizations with identical logic and hardware acceleration as the occlusion test. The terminology "clip" (and its antonym "no clipping") has sometimes been used to refer to collision detection. "Clip through" may refer to the situation in which part of a model passes through part of another in an unnatural manner, like a leg passing through a cape when running."

What a curious etymology... in any case, clipping and no-clip are related terms, but not identical ones; and clipping can refer ether to collision detection, or to rendering optimizations similar to culling, or to what we see above with the animation! However, to further muddle things it's also possible to create the clipping seen above by disabling the collision on a model that has a system for collisions. (Like a ragdoll.) FASCINATING.

I mostly only do 3d models for sale so I usually hear clipping in the graphical sense of geometries that overlap and pass through eachother. It happens a lot while doing sculpted models! (The inflate tool is a cruel temptress!)

When one post has better video quality and another has better audio quality, I have to wonder what went wrong, why no one's fixed it, and why there's still no source.

ChopStix

The source is typically very strange. Sites like Trollvids or that uh...FC2video something won't allow for downloads - even through a 3rd party program.

Where this video came from is unknown, but more importantly: how did the person download this video in the first place?

As Coppertalon said, it's a very simple fix.

Lady must have knees and thighs on her that would make Chun-Li retire.

...Gawd, I want to know what that song is. AND see this done by an actual actress. Would make Cirque du Soleil look like SHIT.

Somebody had to do it, I guess. I mean, how could this *not* get made? It's just begging for a C.

Trollvids allows downloading as long as the uploader allows it. You can occasionally find links in the description to directly download the original video. Even if the upload doesn't allow it, you can still get a hold of it if you have the right tools for the job. <- this also applies to any other video streaming site.

...So, could somebody who knows how put this non-fucked-up video together with the other post's non-fucked-up sound, please?
