No, look at the whole picture--It's a shape-shifter's musical go-fuck-yourself session. I'm thinking it's actually a Scylla, but that could just be me.

Also, considering it could just be a amorphous being from who-knows-where, this could be in itself a clever reference.

Well, I say what's going on is somewhat mysterious, but the creature itself does have a name and at least one physical characteristic we've translated so far!

I've tried to figure out more but... yeah, no idea what they're really supposed to be. Aliens? Time travelers? Bioweapons? No explanation given anywhere!

A Zanburg...

A much more rational explanation would fall under "alien", though as this is something I had not considered before now, this may simply be similar to a certain tentacled huntress from Trials In Tainted Space--a species who hunts for the specific sake of reproduction, or if not, then a species who's specific means of isolating prey would be through it's secretions/venom.

In that sense, then the creature itself shown here may simply be known -as- Zanburg, be part of a larger and unseen species, and possibly just be fucking around (literally) to alleviate some boredom.

That had occurred to me! Zandburg does sound better as a personal name than a species name, buuuut given that Petaro doesn't seem to speak english that theory might not hold water.

One thing I can't help but notice is the similarity to Zoidberg's name, making me wonder if it was inspired after an evening watching subs or dubs of that show. He might not have even known at the time that -berg is a common suffix in family names across Europe, and he might have simply thought it 'sounded alien;' but then that's really just pure conjecture until one of us can be assed to learn the other's language.

All this said it could still be a clever reference in itself...

I'm going to look for more of this later on.
