The muscle anatomy on the arms and legs is spot on. I'm actually impressed there, but somehow the neck is a total brainfart and the lineweights are so screwy that they've managed to destroy would should have been a really solid composition.

Finally a reasonable explanation as to why this depiction is looked upon so unfavorably beyond "WAAH I don't like it; WAAH it doesn't look good to me so it must be trash" but seriously "brainfart" though!

Oh My God people!! This isn't about the aesthetic presentation, it's about tha message you could gather from this depiction!

I'll go first:
The image represents an individual 1ce wrapped in the shackles of alot of metaphors such as self-doubt, the approval of society, conformity, the effort to attain greatness, the approval of her peers! At the actual point in time the depiction itself is captured represents the casting off of said shackles and tha joy of being set free with the chains flying away at amazing speeds! They have no effect on her mindset anymore!
The sky itself represents the infinite possibilities she can achieve & directions her path can take because she is no longer restricted by whatever forces put those chains on her to begin with! Tha sun's solar rays represent the awe & inspiration she emits for all to see as they notice how good she looks & feels about herself and her chosen path! They also represent the now debunked statements her past detractors said about her which she chose to tank and remaster into fuel to become a better version of herself as opposed to wallowing in self-pity or doubt/uncertainty!
She basically became rubber which then made them into glue; that's what I see and that's why she is my icon/avatar!

ART is not simply whatever you find aesthetically pleasing or presentable! This ART is like an "average" movie with "terrible" CGI effects! I shouldn't really be surprised because people have always said movies are more than special effects but then proceed to lambaste what's even an otherwise great film as a piece of crap simply because tha CGI or other wasn't to their standards or because they didn't get what tha movie's message was properly! ART is not what's immediately visible to your eyes but is what's visible to your Heart...hah, rhyme!

I'm telling you that your edit made this drawing worse than what it was. Accept it.

I'll accept that when you accept that what's better & worse is subjective! The only edits I made were inserting tha backdrop+modding her top+a more fitting smile that has CHEESE written all over it; I didn't go anywhere near the parts everyone is bellyaching about!

Maybe you had your hands over your eyes or it was downvoted into invisibility(I bleeding hate that/why is that a thing)by then but I did accept the genuine criticism that finally came my way which was preceded by a peanut-gallery that came along solely to express raw contempt with no explanation why...which is not criticism! They sound more interested in gettin their jollies off than genuine art which...I don't mind but they should at least be upfront about it instead of just going "Eeeewwwwwww" all tha live-long day!

I'm not MAD or ANGRY but just going through a jarring shift wherein my craft was readily accepted or NOT - to a place where people don't like it so they word their dislike as either objectively factual truth or as if it's actually hurting them...ah screw it THAT DOES PISS ME OFF when people talk like their opinion is the only "truth" there is to any given thing especially with no REAL reason given why and not just with my works but in general!

I'm actually far more reasonable than you seem 2 think: I don't require anyone "kneel before me" or "praise my name to tha High Heavens" or "never ever point out where/when I do(objectively or subjectively)wrong" or "to pull that stick out of my rectum, take a niiice biiig whiff, proceed to put it back where they got it from and tell me that my @#$%& isn't just as smelly as everyone else in tha planet" like at all ever really!
IN OTHER WORDS
If they had just said something like "I don't like this" or even "I think this looks terrible" then this wouldn't be a thing we're doing right now!
