I mean, that was funny. I got a giggle or two out of it, but that doesn't mean that English Dubs are any good. The VA's did a horrendous job, and I can't even imagine why or how someone hired them to do so.

For that one funny part is like waiting for something to happen in the Walking Dead series. Is it really worth it?

in the 80s and 90s it was not uncommon to hire porn actors without a gig to dub anime. guess some studios go oldschool now and then. if it's standard, it's time for a pitchfork-and-torches mob.

Kind of stupid to use one dub as a way to say all dubs suck. True, some of them do. Anime with more episodes and better budgets tend to get better VAs for English. Personally I hated the Madoka dub, but loved the FMA dub. They don't all suck, and using Ga-Rei of all things as an example is not really good.

It is pretty stupid, but while you do bring up FMA - a dub that's actually pretty good; it has a lot of very recognizable VAs who unfortunately have OVS (One Voice Syndrome).

The problem with this dub in particular was that it sounded like two amateur middle school students were hired to do this. Like....forcefully trying to make the anime American.
