Sankaku Channel/Tallcat on a pool-killing rampage

Except for all of the people who contributed to and followed those pools, whose work you've all undone for no good reason? Is this the kind of community I should expect from Sankaku?

Here's what I sent to you in private chat after you messaged me:

Sorry about that. This is from the rules of the site regarding pools:

Pool guidelines:

Pools are intended for the following purposes:

1. Collections of posts which belong in a series or set, and which may need to be ordered (for example, the pages of a manga)
2. Collaboratively edited collections of posts following a specific (and specified in the pool description or title) theme, and not reproducible through regular tag searches or regular tagging for whatever reason
Pools are not personal collections of favorites, and serve no useful purpose if they merely contain posts which could otherwise be found using a multiple tag search - consequently, in order to prevent a profusion of otherwise spurious pools, such collections may be removed.

I didn't get rid of any pools using the feature properly. Make use of tag subscriptions and favorites lists for this kind of thing.

To further elaborate, it's annoying as hell to click a post and see 4 large headers before the image advertising people's personal lists that aren't any more specific that one or two tags. Please use the private pool, favorites, ratings, or tag subscription functions for these sorts of things.

Unless there's another feature with a similar name I'm unaware of private pools cause the same issues as public ones, they just can't be edited by other general members, so they shouldn't be used this way either.

Edit: my post seems worded weird but I'm quite tired at the moment and can't manage to sort it out.

Forgive my short-sightedness, but how does one create a private pool? Or convert a public pool into a private one?

This is a logical fallacy because any image can be found with a search(when the images have been tagged properly)since every image in tha pool is meant to follow a particular theme|

It makes no sense that users have to "join forces" in maintaining tha pool when it can be created by 1 user alone...you would think that a few users would have to enter an agreement or at least get the approval of tha specials that run this popsicle stand to create so no one wastes their time creating and gathering/maintaining tha pool all for some special to come along & snap their fingers to flush their work down tha drain - OK so it's not "hard" work really but still|

Maybe Sankaku should have a system similar to Tha dA [deviantART] wherein our primary favorites' folder has subfolders to separate nebulous faves from faves that follow a particular theme AND the subscription feature is wonky at best...maybe it's just me but I can get that @#$%& to work properly..idk|

No really, that IS my concern there!

DA is by no means a pioneer of solutions applicable to a image board, as the entire focus of their expansion for the 'Collection' system is to blanket the initial coding issues with the original favoriting system, which lead to numerous cases of falsely stolen or blatantly stolen works from numerous artists.

The system itself is by no means stellar and can be found on what should be any advanced social media hub.

I've never heard of that AND I've been using it 4 years now and tha system works there without a single hiccup in sight whatsoever so far+just because it didn't work at Tha dA doesn't mean it won't work here|

Technically everyone here is "stealing" art by posting images here that they didn't create(or maybe they do get the artist's' permission - idk)except it's possible to leave a link back to where you got it from originally so it's kinda not though I'm not sure how that works but anyways|

If you must then think of it more like a folder in/on your own hard drive and how you have primary folders(if yours is like mine - lol)you have 4 separate-primary folders 2 store items of a specific nature being Documents/Music/Pictures/Video then we go into tha Music folder and have different artists or perhaps different genres then a folder in 1 of those 2 separate different artists or genres then another inside 4 -- it goes on forever|

I cannot stress enough how much it visually hurts to read how you type, even in the Based Darkness Galinoa crafted for use on both sides of the complex.

Anyway... Under the terms of the copyright laws inherent in the US, as well as in Japan and most modernized countries, anything within the free use clause or under parody work can be distributed/publicly organized, or else the entire site of Rule 34 would be immensely illegal; as long as none of us are having the shit-stained gall to edit works and claim them as our own while putting them on this site, it should remain a non-issue as to any thieving allegations.

And in terms of raw coding... The Complex, to my meager knowledge, does not have a multi-million backed team to run daily maintenance on a advanced social media hub tool such as the Collection System allows, nor do we have any heavily apparent or skilled coders willing to attempt a faux flattery towards such a system. For all we really know, the Complex itself might not be large enough to handle that strain in itself--until System makes some grand decree that it's happening, I won't hold my breath.

Well you don't know that as you've stated even though it largely resembles that but now maybe we can ask some users here if they'd be willing to pay a fee & become "Premium/Core" members to generate revenue to pay for this new system OR have users perform all required maintenance that they can which in return they receive "Premium/Core" benefits as well|

I don't "disagree" with your method of typing, it disagrees with how I was raised to interpret and accept standardized language. Aptly assumed; I'd sooner expect Artefact to create a Patreon if they haven't already, and I would support that instead.
"Premium" features on an image board... I honestly believe we're better than that.

Rather long way to go to tell 1 person 2 go fuck their self but if there was ever an opportunity to be THE better person...I could imagine no better time than my current arrangement; a child can resort to name-calling & insults but it takes a responsible-adult(you would think these were the collectively same thing)to communicate their opinions & contentions in a respectable manner toward another.

Secondly, at no point were my words a "fuck you" in intention--I alluded to my own history as a comparison between the methods in which you type to my own understanding of typing grammar/literature. I will admit, I do tend to use metaphors and exaggeration a tad grossly, but I try to drive a point across in the clearest way I can without misdirecting. I take the time to read your response, and if I can parse it without needing to externally isolate portions of a sentence (and once again, I sincerely thank you for down-scaling) then I will try to respond directly as opposed to trying to lay out the brick that is the road to the point of my response.

The janitor of janitors wrecked "A FEW GOOD POOLS" recently by emptying em out & so forth ending on replacing the pools' descriptions with "Make this a private pool. No one wants to see your curated list." as stated by this forum's author so we took it that this site allows the option for private pools but it's not exactly intuitive| Nothing in the "help: pools" outlines how to do create or alter an existing public pool but it does mention that public pools can be altered by everyone and [I'm not sure if it said "private" exactly] pools can only be altered by the author what created em|

I think private pools were supposed to be a planned feature but it doesn’t seem like it’s actually implemented. For what you want to do… can’t you use favorites? You can do tag searches within your favorites too.

I see. It wasn't really appropriate of the janitor to tell everyone to move to private pools when they don't exist...
