Both open fine for me at full resolution. If it isn't a cache or network issue on your end it may warrant further investigation though.
^I think it might just be me.

Am I the only one seeing the wiki in Japanese there, even though I use English? I’m not sure what other wiki entries we have in Japanese, so I can’t tell if it happens with all of them.
It is in Japanese... I'm not sure if we documented it but if they match the Japanese title of the tag it should correctly display them. This is probably just the English article mistakenly containing Japanese text for some reason.
No, the English article is fine, but it doesn’t display in the posts page. http://chan.sankakucomplex.com/wiki/show?title=x-ray
Should be fixed, preview is generated from the proper language now.
The find similar is not working
Find similar has been upgraded, it should be working OK at present.
A find similar check on post upload has been added, it will show possible duplicates or candidates for parenting automatically on upload:
http://chan.sankakucomplex.com/post/show/3545542?show_similar=1
This is intended for new posts only but does work on any.
Additionally our terribly fastidious duplicate post guidelines need some collation: http://chan.sankakucomplex.com/wiki/show?title=duplicate_post_guidelines
i don't know if this is a glitch or what but when i want to go back to the main page from an image, i sometimes have to ether press back 10 or so times or right click the back button. it is highly annoying.
Could you describe which browser this occurs with and whether it occurs with any particular page or pattern?
I am not sure it is on our end but we will investigate.

I thought it was just me. Firefox 15.0.1
I think sometimes, when I’m from a “posts” page and click a thumbnail, then click Back, the page simply reloads, and the back button becomes unusable, so I’m basically stuck on the page without being able to go back to the “posts” one.
Edit: by the way, this has been happening for such a long time to me that I don’t even remember how far back it goes. Maybe half a year. I thought it was a problem on my end.
Edit2: it just happened. I clicked tekoki, then searched tekoki+assertive, then opened a few images in a new tab (wheel click), then pressed back and the page just refreshed. Had to press back again to go back to the “tekoki” only search. /// And again, this time I clicked a post, it opened, then I clicked Back but it just refreshed the page. Had to do it again to actually go back to the posts page. Image: http://s29.postimg.org/5nwsexkpz/Untitled.jpg /// Happened again, seems to happen quite often. Not always though, and even if I rate an image and then click Back, it can work properly, so rating shouldn’t have to do with it.
Replying to post below: because I had a number of bugs cropping up with newer Firefox versions, so I downgraded. No idea whether the latest Firefox fixed them, but I have no intention of trying it.
I am using Firefox 29 (Nightly) and the bug also happens here. (btw, ALAKTORN, why are you still using FF15? :P)
I did a little investigation and it turns out that each time an ad loads, an entry is added to your history. Basically this:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=148794
Though they talk about document.write in that bug report, I am pretty sure they just mean when the content of an iframe changes.
A solution I can think of is to replace the iframe itself, instead of just the src= attribute, which triggers a content change. A bit ugly, but it should disable the annoying behavior for Firefox users :)
for me it is happening in chrome, but for the life of me i cant get it to work in firefox.
That report dates to 2002... I assume it will never be fixed. Caching behaviour between browsers and their back buttons is so inconsistent I never gave the matter much thought...
Not replacing the "src=" means we lose noscript compatibility, which would not be very good.
Though it sounds as if you mean to take the iframe in its entirety and delete it and then write it back in... the same basic flow as happens now but with the rewrite being of the entire element rather than its contents?
Just a tidbit regarding the problem I brought up a while back:

Why is it when I save certain pics to my comp, there is no thumbnail?
Well turns out it isn't just Windows. I copied one of the afflicted pics to a Google Nexus 7 tablet, and there is no thumbnail on there either. (in Gallery) Even worse, I can't even view the image, as attempting to do so immediately causes an error message to appear and boots me from the app. (I put exactly 15 pics on the tablet, and each of them had thumbnails except for one... that's the one which doesn't work.)
The pic was http://chan.sankakucomplex.com/post/show/2000882 but when I save it now, it actually has a thumbnail, plus i noticed the word "preview" in the filename has been replaced by "sample-" (but the filename is otherwise the same as before) so I see that definitely something's up. It looks like the whole thing is being fixed I guess... so to whoever is responsible for the fix: Thank you! You can count on my vote in the next election!
We regenerated over 5 million image thumbnails and samples in order to fix the issue (this alone takes 2 months), wrote a custom script to purge them from CloudFlare's cache and finally altered the naming scheme, so it should be definitively fixed. Enjoy your universally supported preview imagery!
The tag alias issues people were having intermittently should (hopefully) be fixed for good this time, although we won't know until plenty of aliases have been submitted over an extended period.
Tag subscriptions does seem to stop updating since 2-3 days. D:
Fixed. Job system is a little busy so it may take a little while to catch up.
Thanks for the warning.
Many thanks! Guess got quite a subscription overkill going, so I don't mind if it just updates once a day.
The scrolling on the tag sidebar seems to not be working.
The scrolling unfortunately breaks the autosuggest display as it will not display over the rest of the page when scrolled. So either way is bugged.
Unless anyone has any suggestions I think we'll have to leave it for the time being.
If that's the case then I recommend either reducing the number of tags that appear on the left, or putting the "Mode" and "Auto Paging" sections above the tags.
What’s png_conversion?
I deleted Post #2799125 after comparing its quality with its parent, and determining that it was a lower quality duplicate (compared them at 1600% size) so I deleted it, but its parent has the png_conversion tag and I’m confused whether I should’ve deleted the post or not.
Straight conversion of a PNG original into a JPG, is it not? So not infrequently a good flag as to "bad" duplicate status.
I can't seem to be able to edit the tag blacklist, the changes just aren't saving. Tried two browsers and two separate accounts so far with no success.

I see. I wonder why both posts were JPG then, and the PNG original doesn’t appear to have been uploaded (neither put in the source field).

Same here. The "resize images" toggle doesn't stick either, but "private favorites" and "receive emails" does. Strange.
OK, pretty good idea what is causing this, investigating now.
Should now be fixed. Security enhancements made things a little too secure with respect to those settings.

2 years agoI was able to fix this with some hacky magic.
Issue: I was trying to figure out whether these two images were duplicate (and so one needed deletion), but it keeps giving me errors when I try to view both of them in full resolution. Post #3530878 and Post #3522349. Edit: ok they’re obviously different with no need to check the full resolution, but it’s still strange that they seem to give errors when opening them in full, is that just me?
