This is to avoid future duplicates being uploaded and bypassing the site’s duplicate filter, as I’ve been told from System. It works best if the original image (biggest, uncompressed file) stays up.

Last I heard, System actually said to delete photorealistic lolicon material. And that post fits the bill.
