Sankaku Channel/Mass-edit Request Thread

You can request mass-edits in this thread. A post should contain a link to the search you want the mass-edit applied to, what mass-edit you’re requesting and the reason for the mass-edit.

Example post (and actual request):

Requesting removal of oogami_kazuki from this search.

Reason: the tag was wrongly used for an artist (ogami_kazuki) and needs cleaning up for the character.

I forgot I made this request and edited it out manually, lol.

The format is a little tricky which is why there is no direct submission yet, but submitting in this format is the same as the actual edit and will streamline the process:

<search to generate posts for editing>
<tags to be edited>

The search can include metatags which cannot actually be edited. The edit tags must be tags or ratings and the like. To remove a tag, the most common usage, the tag would be in the first edit and simply omitted from the tags to be edited, and it will then be removed.

Example: to remove all incidences of "broken_tag" from Rinfinite's long_hair uploads:
"long_hair user:Rinfinite broken_tag" > "long_hair"

Forgetting long_hair in the second part would delete it from all the posts searched, which is another reason this functionality is tricky. user:Rinfinite would not do anything there and so can be left out.

Perhaps Alaktorn can amend the requested format to take this into account.

Ah you’re right, sorry. What I did was add ichiju, at the same time I could’ve easily removed oogami_kazuki but I guess I didn’t for some reason…

@System: I’m not sure, I feel like that syntax could be confusing for the users to use…

I think the latter tag is not correct and should be changed to either of these two: sweet_home:_~h_na_onee-san_wa_suki_desu_ka?~ or sweet_home:_h_na_onee-san_wa_suki_desu_ka?.

Isn't the second one the characters' full name? As far as I know, Sankaku Channel always uses a character's full name unless it's a spoiler or it's unknown. In that case, all posts should be moved to evangeline_nthanasia_katherine_mcdowell, shouldn't them?

Isn't that an alias issue?

mmm well, yes, it could be done also like that. There is a little confusion about her real name, since in tha manga she is called Evangeline A K Mcdowell, and they said that the "K" is for "Kitty" XD Or Katherine, but in other parts she is called also Evangeline Athanasia Ecaterina McDowell, so i think it is better to leave the A.K. as in tha manga for clearer references. ^^

There are only 72 non-One Piece Nami posts so it seems not to be appropriate. You should check this before proposing it.

I'm failing to see why sweet_home wouldn't be an alias candidate.

I don't think sweet_home should be aliased to sweet_home:_h_na_oneesan_wa_suki_desu_ka?, since sweet_home is a potentially ambiguous tag. So I think we should instead move the posts related to the anime/game to the correct tag.

I still think it would make more sense to use the "Nami_(one_piece)" tag for the One Piece character, since "Nami", among other things, is the Japanese word for "Wave".

This should be an alias, if it happens a lot.

In cases where there are just 2-3 such posts there isn't even much justification for an alias. Faster to edit the posts manually...

The tag was cleaned, so I don't know if that happens a lot.

Requesting that the post with nipples be made explicit.
I think it was left alone because the debate was going on for a while, but it seems to have been finalized.
