If you check the tag history you can see that System is the one adding them. System is a bot, so I’m not sure what’s wrong there. I guess wherever it grabbed the posts from had the wrong source, maybe we should look at the tag history of wherever the bot took the posts from.

Thanks for pointing me to the tag history. It seems to use the same sources for a number of images in a row.
I think there’s a new problem with Pixiv in recent posts added by System.

The source is a direct link, which was fine up until recently because SanCom transformed the direct link into a Pixiv post page link under “Details Source”, but now it doesn’t do that anymore (at least I think that’s a thing the website was doing…).
Can anyone find the oldest post this issue comes up with? Basically the first post it started happening. Unless it happens on all posts now, haven’t checked… only checked recent posts.
Edit: doesn’t happen with older posts, check Post #1032608. The source link is a direct link, but the “Details” thing links to the post page.
Pixiv has been getting updated recently...
So you could be right about it being on Pixiv's end.
What exactly happened on Pixiv's end is not clear, but updates there seem to have been the cause. Once what is going on is fully established we will see what can be done...
Many of the images that point to pixiv do not even come from Pixiv but from other sites like DeviantArt or HF or just random.
That particular issue is not currently happening, right?
Not sure how current you want? But if you are talking within the last two weeks then answer yes.

Seeing as other users have started sourcing Pixiv posts wrongly, and I have no intention to correct everyone via mail.
I’m pretty sure the website can convert the new Pixiv direct links very easily: look at the end. It will be like this: “/#####.p#.[extension]”. Take the number after the slash and put it in this link: http://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=medium&illust_id=#####
Example:
Direct: http://i2.pixiv.net/img-original/img/2014/10/03/19/04/18/46325293_p0.jpg
Post page: http://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=medium&illust_id=46325293
I think “compilation” uploads on Pixiv have a slightly different direct link, but it’s pretty much the same thing:
Direct: http://i1.pixiv.net/img107/img/touarigamoemie/32633850_big_p0.jpg
Post page: http://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=medium&illust_id=32633850
Also dunno if you were asking for it but here’s a System post from 2 hours ago that links to a direct image on Pixiv: Post #4155366
Here’s one from 11 days ago that links to the wrong Pixiv image: https://chan.sankakucomplex.com/post_tag_history/index?post_id=4133323
@ALAKTORN
The direct link image can easily be fixed with a little js script and regular expression.
example without error checking:
source = http://i2.pixiv.net/img-original/img/2014/10/03/19/04/18/46325293_p0.jpg
source = "http://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=medium&illust_id=" + source.match(/i\d+\.pixiv\.net\/.+\/(\d+)(_p\d+|_big_p\+)?\.(jpg|gif|png)/i)[1];
That should replace all pixiv images correctly whether they point to manga page or direct link to image.
You can add that to a user-script using GreaseMonkey.
I thought there was an inconsistency on Pixiv's side in terms of which posts had this new style of URL structure?
Also we're storing the raw JPG URL in the database and rewriting it dynamically via Rails, so a user script should be unnecessary as soon as a satisfactory rule and updated Rails code is about.

Seems true, but it’s probably just the old uploads being left as they were and the new ones using the newer system. I’m not sure how that makes a difference? Shouldn’t the code be able work with both types of links?
By the way, the new Pixiv URL structure doesn’t allow you to see the uploader’s original nickname anymore. With the old one the direct link had the nickname in the URL, but now it doesn’t anymore. This is quite troublesome for tagging artists…
Found another type of link SanCom should convert.
http://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=manga&illust_id=18947396
“manga” should become “medium”.
http://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=medium&illust_id=18947396
Maybe this isn’t that big of a deal because you can still browse around from the manga link, as opposed to direct links, but thought I’d mention.
Another type of link.
http://touch.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=medium&illust_id=46669391
I think we should probably convert from the “touch” version to the normal version of the site, you just have to replace “touch.” with “www.”.
http://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=medium&illust_id=46669391
I’m stickying this thread until all the linking issues are solved. Direct links are still not being converted btw, which are the main problem right now.
What is the touch.* version? A mobile interface?
I'm none too keen on supporting all these Pixiv URL formats if they keep proliferating... just leaving it to the uploader to put in the correct URL is not out of the question.

Probably?

No way. It doesn’t sound hard to code a few lines of link converters, why are you against it?
Post #4105865 used to have the same source as Post #4106265. I fixed it long ago but I thought it could be still relevant to point out.

Bump. At the very least, direct image links should be converted, as they give an error when clicked. All the other type of links aren’t as important.

This guy seems to have a knack for posting unclickable sources.
That guy is who I've been complaining about.
I get the urge to throw a puppy out a window whenever he uploads something I want to but in a half-assed way.
Rinfinite quite angry these days.
I thought the problem with Pixiv's new url format had been fixed, but I am still having that problem.
https://chan.sankakucomplex.com/?tags=parent%3A4366817 <-With this set, for example. I had to save all images on my computer and then upload them.
^I don’t see what you’re talking about.

Did we ever had the possibility, that you just type in the URL and sankaku sucks them all?
ALAKTORN said:

I mean that I can't upload images from pixiv (the ones with the new url format) using their direct link. I thought that problem had been fixed.

That’s not a “problem”, it’s a new Pixiv feature and it’s not fixable. You aren’t gonna be able to directly upload images from Pixiv unless Pixiv changes his system again.
This topic is about the “Source:” field under the “Details” header being broken. Let’s stop the OT to this post.
I noticed some kind of problem with source links - plz consider this: https://chan.sankakucomplex.com/post/show/3568216 - there is a source given named "zippyswild.net/yuna...." but it leads back to chan.sankakucomplex.com/post/show/3568216, the page where you are already. I think the source links have worked in earlier times - can someone look into this?
The abovementioned page is only an example, every single source I checked today led back to the sankakucomplex page itself.
Edit:
Removed my former edits, they were bullshit, sorry.
^That’s already known. The webmaster is currently MIA and therefore can’t fix it.

Sometimes it's the wrong PixivID, DeviantArt or random site. I assume it's not an accident but intentional as it is too common and usually in batches (images uploaded around same time).
Normally I just remove the source but left these to let you know.
