Under investigation.
Please leave those aliases alone for us to poke at, but you can still submit aliases OK - it just errors 50% of the time for no reason.
May well be fixed, will be keeping an eye out for similar issues.
when blacklisting something i think it would be cool if it didn't show up at all in stead of being a blurred out picture it would help me out when i'm using my phone
You might want to put that in the suggestions topic then.

Just tried making an alias and got the same error, but when I re-tried it went through. Doesn’t seem fully fixed.
It isn't, no. Still looking into things.
Seikon no Qwaser characters.
1. “aleksander_nikolaevich_her”
This sounds like a really stupid name. I don’t know where it comes from, either way Wikipedia lists him as Alexander Nikolaevich Hell, should we change the tag into that much more sensible name (and probable English official)?
2. “oikawa_urara” and “oikawa_urada”, latter is the most used.
Wikipedia lists her as “Urada Oikawa (及川 麗 Oikawa Urara?)”, which I think means Urada is her English (official I think) name, and Urara her Japanese name; so for some reason the English version sligthly changed her name I think. So which of the two names should we use?
Posting here because we’ll ultimately have to deal with aliasing them anyway.
1.
What is official or has common currency works. I recall us changing another silly transliteration of "heru" as "her" recently already.
2.
Japanese Pixivopedia gives 及川麗 as おいかわうらら - http://dic.pixiv.net/a/%E5%8F%8A%E5%B7%9D%E9%BA%97
Unless there is a real reason about, Wikipedia may well be wrong (I have seen quite a few erroneous renderings of character names there - just look at the Shingeki character lists).
1. I’m not sure what you’re suggesting here, are you saying we should keep the “aleksander_nikolaevich_her”? A bit of Googling and looking around suggests that Alexander Nikolaevich Hell is the most used/correct name (especially the Aleksander part seems to be the least used, regardless of her/hell).
2. Yes, but that’s the same as what I said. Urara is her JP name, Urada her EN name (I think); the EN-name tag is currently the most used, but I was wondering which of the two we should use.
Do you mean this? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Attack_on_Titan_characters most seem correct as of now (unless I’m blind), they may have been wrong if you checked it at an earlier date; early Wikipedia pages tend to be of lesser quality.
1.
Using "hell" appears to be correct.
2.
There seems to be no source on this though and it is an unusual change (pointless change of a Japanese name). There is no official English site listing her, even, it seems.
Size of a tag is not necessarily a guide to correctness as some sources/uploaders can be unreliable and tags corrected midway through their history will be majority incorrect until mass-edited.
So consolidate on "urara" - you can always add notes to both character wikis explaining the issue.
When I looked some weeks ago many of them were wrong and only an Attack on Titan wiki actually had the correct versions. Wikipedia is not wholly reliable when it comes to this stuff, it would seem.
1. What about the Aleksander vs. Alexander?
2. Made alias “oikawa_urada → oikawa_urara”.
Alexander I guess would be the most appropriate transliteration of the Russian, more so if it is the most used, so let us use that.
“A technical problem has prevented the page from loading.”
This thing is back.
It never left, we are still investigating as there is no clear cause.
Submitting a second time should usually work though.
This is actually about an implication, but: http://chan.sankakucomplex.com/tag_implication?query=huge_insertion&commit=Search+Implications
This doesn’t make sense. Either you make it an alias, or you keep them separate and differentiate them the same way “large_breasts” and “huge_breasts” are (which is what I was doing).
"huge_breasts" still implies (in the general sense) "breasts" though, doesn't it?
"huge_insertion" would therefore imply either "insertion" or "large_insertion" depending on which is the parent tag (not sure about this).
I think “insertion” is the correct one.
"insertion" as the parent tag and a set of individual size tags on top of that sounds reasonable.
Insertion is part of a tag group so there may be additional complexities though.

Getting back to this…

This alias needs removal.
Removed, so 3 aliases and 2 translation edits should rectify it fully.
Made the aliases. How do translations work, do they get aliased over as well? Writing it down for worst-case scenario: アレクサンドル=ニコラエビッチ=ヘル
We've left them rather than have them copy over as there are a variety of different cases involved. There are convenience links all over the tag alias index now though.
Those aliases have been approved and the translation copied over.

This needs removal so that it can be changed to _(lilith-soft).

So will the “huge_insertion → large_insertion” implication be changed to “→ insertion”?
For the tag group, wouldn’t you just edit in the additional size tags? http://chan.sankakucomplex.com/wiki/show?nordirect=1&title=tag_group%3Asex_acts
Removed that.
Insertion implication changed to how you describe.
In general discussion, then wiki edits, then approval seems to be the optimal order.

Should kagami_(artist) be aliased into “kagami_(lilith-soft)” or something?
There’s some idiot who keeps changing company tags from Copyright to Artist, and this time even the kagami_(lilith-soft) tag was changed from Artist to Copyright. I don’t know of any way of finding who’s changing this, but it’s getting annoying because I’ve seen my company tag → Copyright changes being reverted to Artist multiple times in the past.
The tag history view has been upgraded (this was planned from a while back actually) - now it records type changes as well as translation changes. It also has a revert link, though this is currently mod only to be consistent with the translation approval permissions (contributors can alter types freely though).
You should be able to monitor who is changing what for all subsequent edits now.
The case you mention seems related to some of the other discussion regarding tag types - there is overlap between artist and copyright, maybe that is a factor.
^Cool, thanks. I know that a lot of people seem to think a developer company’s name is supposed to be an “artist”, for some reason, but that’s stupid. There are individual artists with their own names within the developer company. I wish people’d understand that.
kangoku_gakuen, kangoku_gakuen_(prison_school), prison_school. Which one do we want to keep?
If there is interest in splitting copyrights into "producer" and "franchise" tag types we could pursue it.
Without looking at it in detail - "the most widely recognised/used/official"
1. I might’ve mentioned this before (or not), but yes, I think splitting “producer” and “franchise” tags would be good; I’m just not sure what to call them.
2. I’m not really sure which one is most widely recognised. Batoto and exhentai use Prison School, but mangaupdates and MAL use Kangoku Gakuen. Both names give results on Google. The name in the manga is sometimes given as プリゾンスクール or something like that, so maybe that favors Prison School a little. The current most used tag is kangoku_gakuen.
I’m kind of in favor of prison_school just because it’s the English name, and kangoku_gakuen isn’t as obvious as other Jap series’ names are, I think.

I keep trying to submit this but it keeps giving me an unnumbered error. Can somebody else do it?
Edit: I can’t make aliases anymore.
arisa_(anime) → moke_moke_taishou_dendo_musume_arisa
won’t be accepted either. “A technical problem has prevented the page from loading.”
