It would be nice if we could have the option to make audio off as the default.

I'll just quote myself:

Mute all webms by default.

Yes, please. I've had 3 near misses forgetting they have sound now.

Instead of that, make them paused by default and make the controls visible by default.

And that should extend to .MP4 and .OGG too. People seem to forget these are now supported too.

That's a good idea. So do we have an update on this, or is it just not being worked on? I thought I remember System being fairly active in this topic when it first started.

Since Galinoa uploaded some of them: posts like that should be tagged with upscaled and legitimate_variation while the parent post is the original post.

Been gone for a bit, but got a message from Galinoa about it. I'll be sure to keep tabs on that as well, upscaled pictures are much appreciated in many cases.

An absolute darklist would be usefull, where the whole post is hidden if it matches the tag; computing tax is not an excuse since it doesnt matter if an entry is rendered or not if the code matches the tag text anyway - okay, there needs to be table limits or some idiot or another will define a list matching everything and the server eats itself as a result when cycling through all images again and again.

I know about blacklisting, but scrambling the thumbnail is not realiable enough.

Reference:
I'm okay with a lot of stuff and I am simply not clicking things that appear like they could put me off, but the recent taxidermy/cannibalism/vore/guro uploads are too paralel to my tastes.

While you guys do have order:random, could you put a non-stable random search term in?? In other words, every time you search/refresh etc the posts are in a new order. order:shuffle, maybe?

Maybe that's something small, but I think it should be possible to edit comments.
And also to actually delete your forum posts. That's not actually possible for me.

And I think there should be a separate channel for most of this 3D stuff that's being posted here lately. I guess 3D games should be just as alright as any other game, but all this SFM/GMod/MMD/3D child porn stuff is sincerely bothering me.

This needs to happen. I’ve had to black list the has_audio tag and now the posts tagged with it don’t even appear (they were blurry before). Defaulting the video to paused and shown controls is what all porn websites do with their videos. It’s pretty standard logic.

I personally think any video site should leave videos paused as default. I kinda hate that the mobile YouTube site now starts playing videos and goes from an video to another in a playlist automatically, and I also hate that the full site does the same.

That's autoplay. I don't know about the mobile variant, but the app can disable that. It's litteraly the first thing I did when they introduced it.

Also: I'd like to have the blacklists apply to usericons as well, with all the futanari and other stuff in the comment stream's avatars.

Unfortunately the mobile site doesn't have the option to disable autoplay, and I have to use it because my cell phone doesn't have an actual YouTube app.

I disagree, kinda. I think instead that all avatars should be safe for work.

Changing subject, I think it would be useful if there was a way to select multiple files in the tag search like you would select your PC files, I think that'd make using the tag script far easier and better.

I meant like this, and then you could add the tag script to all selected posts at once. I didn't think that would need any more clearance.

You can just click the thumbnails you want the tag script applied to… why would you want to select them before applying it? That’s an extra step…

I was thinking that way the script would be automatically added to all selected posts. That would actually make it faster.

I literally can’t understand what you’re saying. Selecting the posts means clicking them, and the script already gets added on click.

I don't think I can explain in a way you can understand, then...

So you're not talking about selecting certain posts and adding the same tag or change to those selected.

Like searching for penis vagina -rating:e then selecting just the thumbnails and changing all of their ratings, to E in this case, or tags at once.

If that is what you were talking about, I think it would work best if it was done as a special option. Maybe just for contributors and above to avoid shenanigans.

Either way, an option like this would make life here easier.

Yes, that's exactly what I mean.

Yet you’re still talking about “selecting the thumbnails”. That means you’re clicking the thumbnails, and you already have the option to apply a rating or a tag script on click of the thumbnail… I don’t get you.

You don't have to click one by one to select, you can simply drag your mouse around the thumbnails.

Ah. Don’t know how that’d work in terms coding. Regardless, it might make the tag scripting brainless/imprecise, so maybe it’s not desirable. And it would only save a few seconds even if there were situations where it’d be desirable…

I think mass editing does what you’re looking for better. Not that I know how mass editing works, only System can do it.

!!!!What! Is this not available to contributors or am I missing something. Because that would save me a lot of time!

Would you please explain what I need to do.

^On the left under “Mode”, “Edit tag script”. Writing “1girl” and pressing Enter will move you to “Apply tag script”, from which you can click on thumbnails to apply the “1girl” tag. To remove tags you just put a - before the tag. Etc.

For ratings you even have already-made options in the menu. “Rate safe”, “Rate questionable”, “Rate explicit”.

Recently I'm trying to clean up ambiguous tags (especially character tags), and I think saki and aria shouldn't be used as copyright tags.

What else would you call them?

Thank you. Since everything else here is a button instead of a drop-down menu it somehow managed to stay hidden from my consciousness. "hidden in plain sight" essentially. Even scientists can miss some of the little details. Good thing I'm not a detective!

saki_(series) and aria_(series) or saki_(manga) and aria_(manga)?

An "or" tag Example: Bikini:or:lingerie. meaning it wouldnt have to contain both tags, just one of them.

You can already do that by adding ~ in front of the tags, but it's not completely functional.
