Crap. But this is a good functionality to add though, wouldn't you agree?

I don't know if it makes sense to anyone else, but I think it could be useful if it was possible to search for posts without a certain tag type (instead of only without specific tags), like searching for posts without character tags to find posts with untagged characters or character tags of the wrong type (for example, a general tag which should be a character tag).

Since System is MIA, though, I don't think that's gonna happen. .-.

Hellloooo~
/not the general chat thread

It would be nice if we could search for a specific tag in the Recent Tag Changes page. https://chan.sankakucomplex.com/post_tag_history/index

And also if we could search for the aliases/implications/translations sent by specific users, in these features' pages.

And that's just a complaint of me, but I think all the translations here: https://chan.sankakucomplex.com/tag_translation/index should be orgazined by alphabetical order and include both approved and unapproved translations, like in the aliases and implications' pages.

Also, it is supposedly possible to search for aliases/implications for reasons, but I've never been able to do that.

^That translations page has a menu for ordering for me. Also I’m able to do the last thing you say simply by searching for it.

^I know it has such menu. I was just saying. :P
And I've never been able to search for the reason. :/

Also, about the new mod powers (from https://chan.sankakucomplex.com/forum/show/274?page=18):

I don't think all users should be able to delete aliases/implications. I think that's putting way too much power into the hands of potential trolls.

I was talking about their own aliases and implications. :P
I tried to make that clear, but I see it wasn't clear enough. xD

Oh, and also, I've suggested this before, but I think the "idol" tag type from Idol Complex should be included in Sankaku Channel too. I also think the "photo_set" tag type should too.

Mute all webms by default.

Yes, please. I've had 3 near misses forgetting they have sound now.

Instead of that, make them paused by default and make the controls visible by default.

And that should extend to .MP4 and .OGG too. People seem to forget these are now supported too.

I'm in agreement with Juan's suggestion--default paused with options shown is a much more considerate step up from simply muting them.

Is there a policy on resized duplicate posts?

Duplicate: https://chan.sankakucomplex.com/post/show/4581021

Yes, the smaller one is to be deleted (lower resolution/quality).

Good to know--I'd thought those "size" duplicates were needless clutter.

Edit: A policy on same-size duplicates?

HentaFan's: https://chan.sankakucomplex.com/post/show/3927766

echlight's: https://chan.sankakucomplex.com/post/show/3919973

In cases with same quality and resolution, the bigger filesize is kept. Trying to delete it is giving me “A technical problem has prevented the page from loading.”, though…

Edit: I see Steinkauz did it at the same time I was. He picked the wrong reason though, so I re-deleted it.

The larger one should be kept, and PNG > JPG.

I’d wager that entirely depends on image quality rather than simply the extension attached to it.

Well, I assumed that was obvious enough to skip. To be precise: if the image is exact the same, pixelwise: png > jpg, unless it's 40mb vs 20 or nonsense like that.

You can also easily see if a image is artifacted, small file size while a rather high resoluted picture. Twittersourced pictures tend to be artifacted.

Right, right, I'll keep an eye out for the higher resolution and the format.

I don't know if this has been suggested before, but let's say you search for a particular tag and click on the first image. How about adding a "next" button to go the next image of the search results?

I was thinking, what if it was possible to search for posts by favourite/vote count? Technically there is order:popular, but I have no idea what's its parameter.

You can do order:favorite to sort it by the number of favorites. I don't know about one for vote count though.

(I thought I had answered this. Weird...)
Thank you. I didn't know that was already possible.

Not sure why I gave the wrong one. It should actually be order:favcount, sorry.

Two things this time:

Firstly, I've flagged a few images, mostly smaller size versions and a few duplicates as well as some old cosplay pictures that really should be in the Idol Complex. Anyone mind dropping the hammer on those, maybe letting me know what is and is not flagged correctly?

Secondly, what's the policy on resizes without any altercation to the image? I would think that if the image itself is a complete duplicate, the larger resolution file would remain.

You’re correct.

As far as dealing with flags, you’d know if they were wrong because the flag would be removed. If nothing changed then nobody got to them yet. We’re understaffed.

Since Galinoa uploaded some of them: posts like that should be tagged with upscaled and legitimate_variation while the parent post is the original post.
