If there is 1:1 correspondence and both names are used significantly, the pattern is artist_(circle) or artist_(alias)
In this case you would need to establish which name is "primary" and whether there is actual usage of both.
So the answer is:
secondary_name -> primary_name
or
secondary_name -> primary_name_(secondary_name)
primary_name -> primary_name_(secondary_name)
As usual this might benefit from being laid out in a wiki article somewhere.

This is essentially in large part a management interface for aliases and circle relationships. You can create a record of all the aliases here without actually affecting the tags (same goes for the wiki, which provides a place to summarise artist aliases as well).
Thanks! I'll look up all of that, and make the necessary research.

...we should alias them, of course. But in which direction ?
Case in point (which pushed me to make this forum post) : Aviv Or, an illustrator also known as chatenoire. Her deviantart (http://chatenoire.deviantart.com/) is under the chatenoire alias, but does bear her Aviv Or name (which I assume is her real name). She also have a personal site (http://www.avivor.com/ ).
