There seem to be some gaps in the help and documentation available to help new users or explain the more advanced functionality in detail.

The general idea at present is to wherever possible have the help system be a user editable wiki linked into the interface, as opposed to the static help pages which are still in place in parts of the site.

The only impediment to users creating and improving help pages with no intervention from administrators at present is the need to alter links in the interface to point to the wiki instead of the static help.

These changes can be requested here.

If there are any outright omissions they can also be brought up here.

There is a fair amount of information in the forums and elsewhere which could also benefit from being brought into the appropriate articles.

And of course, anyone interested in helping out in improving the documentation is more than welcome to ask for clarification or assistance here.

I should document an aspect of the documentation which nobody seems to have been making use of yet.

The sidebar wiki previews make for a nice supplementary help system, as it is possible for users to attach wiki articles to meta search terms - for example on order:popular there is an explanation of the search option (in fact it is even possible to attach wiki pages to your favorites).

The "quick" (in fact not so quick considering the volume of options available) search guide entries can in fact be transplanted and expanded with additional information, usage examples and convenience links... though only to meta tags with fixed text.

I keep getting a error page when I try going to the "change tag type" page on some tags.

This is probably fixed already (or at least I see the tags you were editing and seem to be able to edit OK) but some details would be helpful if it is still occurring. It didn't look the edits were normal, were you using the usual form?

Yeah, the page started working but now the tag types are not changing after pressing save on the edit page.

Should be completely fixed for good now.

Well, requesting the help link in parent/child posts (Post #3361307, Post #3903397, “This post belongs to a parent post (help)”) to link to the wiki instead: https://chan.sankakucomplex.com/wiki/show?title=help%3A_post_relationships&nordirect=1. The non-editable help page writes “post:nnnn” to search for parents which is wrong, I fixed it to “parent:nnnn” in the wiki.

Maybe a bit late, but you could insert a zero width space (U+200B) between the brackets. Example:
[b​]strong text[/b]
Makes text bold.
[i​]emphasized text[/i]
Makes text italicized.
[u​]underlined text[/u]
Underlines text.
[s​]stikethrough text[/s]
Strikes through text with a line.

is there a way to search for all images of certain tag with average vote of 3+ for example? I know that there's "search for rating of a specific user" option: "voted:bob:3", but it's not what I want.

Well, I downloaded it from Tumblr using my old cellphone's ability to download videos, so maybe that's why it isn't quite supported by the site. Either way, it's only the second mp4 on the site, so there's also that.

I don't know if there's any point in bringing this up in Sankaku Channel since it's a Idol Complex issue, but there's no active admin there (not that I know of) I'll bring it up here anyway. I always get the message "A technical problem has prevented the page from loading." instead. Shouldn't I be able to delete posts?

You can only view posts with the blocked_artist tag when logged in.

Why this exists at all I don't know, but there's a part of the answer on your question, I guess.
